MHD Watches stands for Matthew Humphries Designs, name after their founder. This British automotive-designed watch brand has been around since 2014. Matthew Humphries used to be the chief design at Morgan Motor Company, designing himself some of their car models. He took his experience and knowledge from the motor industry, and transferred them to watch design. The results are amazing with clear car aesthetic design influences in their watches. MHD SA2 Launch Collection
First of all, let’s take a look at their most recent timepieces : the MHD SA2 collection - The Sprint Automatic 2. This collection is inspired by F1 cars, amongst others, because they are designed to be lightweight and achieve maximum performance. The watches of this collection feature an engineered design aesthetic, similar to these cars, so that they showcase a motorsport engineered look.
MHD SA2 Heritage White Dial
The SA2 heritage watch with white and steel dial is a limited edition men’s motorsport watch, with only 100 pieces available. The case of this watch is surrounded by Sapphire crystal glass; on the front so that it’s protected from scratches, and on the back so that you can see the skeleton design. Just like a collection car, the mechanism of this watch is very important, this is why MHD Watches made sure to expose it in its motorsport design.
MHD SA2 Steel Dial
The SA2 Heritage watch is water resistant up to 50 meters and is equipped with a Japanese Miyota movement. It also has a power reserve of 42 hours and a 2 year warranty on the complete watch. The strap of this watch is a super interesting feature; it is made from an actual car seat belt! It comes in two colors, either tan or black and it is easily interchangeable.
